Corton Grand Cru Les Renardes Berthier Sweeney

Domaine des Hospices de Beaune

Albert Bichot’s view

Purple color, with rich fruit on the nose. Beautiful density on the palate, balanced by lovely tannins, marked without severity.

Food pairings

Duck terrine, roast pigeon, pumpkin velouté with Espelette pepper.

This terroir has a strong identity that is harmoniously expressed in the wine. The strength of its clays lends a tannic, full-bodied texture. However, the soil is chalky and stony, producing a Pinot Noir that combines subtlety and complexity. This is surely what makes it one of the most renowned Climats on the Corton hillside, offering powerful wines with great ageing potential.

  • Region: Côte de Beaune
  • Village: Aloxe-Corton
  • Level: Grand Cru
  • Appellation: Crton Grand Cru Les Renardes

Vinification and aging

This Corton Renardes Grand Cru Cuvée Berthier Sweeney has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.

The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune has been certified organic since the 2024 harvest, and we naturally age your wine in our Albert Bichot cellars in line with this environmentally-friendly philosophy.
