Les Duresses has a terroir composed of marly limestone and marl. Part of the vineyard is planted with young vines, and the other part with old vines, giving this cuvée a strong anchorage and therefore a proven power and density. The soils offer a dense tannic structure that guarantees good ageing potential. South-south-east exposure.

Vinification and aging
This Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru cuvée Boillot has been skilfully vinified by Ludivine Griveau, Domaine des Hospices de Beaune steward (since 2015). It is sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November. Our house, Albert Bichot, regularly buys this great wine on behalf of customers who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of various barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.
The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune has been certified organic since the 2024 harvest, and we naturally age your wine in our Albert Bichot cellars in line with this environmentally-friendly philosophy.
In 1898, Antoinette Boillot, from a long-established Burgundy family, bequeathed her estate in Auxey- Duresses, Meursault and Volnay to the Hospices de Beaune. All the vines were planted between 1963 and 1980 on parcels considered to be the highest quality of the Auxey 1ers Crus. This Cuvée offers a remarkable pleasure/price ratio.
