The first notes signal a great white Burgundy, with a complex floral nose (almond, white pepper). The palate is taut and precise, with a lovely, well-balanced base that the ageing allows to develop a patina.
Food pairings
Spring salad with shrimp, aioli, white pudding, chicken supreme with cream and mushrooms.

Vinification and aging
This Puligny-Montrachet Cuvée Bernard Clerc has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.
The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune has been certified organic since the 2024 harvest, and we naturally age your wine in our Albert Bichot cellars in line with this environmentally-friendly philosophy.
This cuvée comes from a donation made in 2017 by Bernard Clerc, a former winegrower in Puligny-Montrachet, where he owned a vast vineyard estate. In this way, the traditional generosity of the Burgundians remains as vibrant as ever in the 21st century.
The cuvée is made from two parcels in the "Les Reuchaux" climat. Close to Meursault, on the north side, the vines were planted in 1968 and 1969. The total surface area is 18.96 ares. This donation is the first made to the Hospices de Beaune in the village of Puligny-Montrachet.
