Albert Bichot’s view

Bright, light yellow color. Perfectly balanced nose, with a beautiful, elegant floral bouquet, followed by a full palate of white fruits with a lovely freshness.

Food pairings

Braised fennel, salmon cake, chicken and mushroom pie.

This Climat is located to the south of the Beaune appellation, bordering Pommard. It lies just above the renowned Clos des Mouches. This plot, previously planted with Pinot Noir, was replanted with white grapes in 2010. The soil is stony and rich in limestone, with white marl. The wines offer good tension and interesting ageing potential.

Vinification and aging

This Beaune 1er Cru Les Montrevenots Cuvée Suzanne & Raymond (white) has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.

Le Domaine des Hospices de Beaune est certifié bio depuis la récolte 2024 et bien entendu nous élevons dans nos caves Albert Bichot ce vin en respectant cette philosophie respectueuse de l’environnement.

History of the cuvée

This wine comes from a parcel previously planted with pinots noirs (which were destined for the Cuvée de Beaune Premier Cru Cyrot-Chaudron). These old Pinots were recently uprooted and the plot was replanted with Chardonnay in 2010. The soil is stony and limestone-rich, with white marl - highly conducive to the production of great white wines. The parcel lies at the top of the hillside, not far from the source of the Lulunne.
