2025 Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction: sponsors committed to the 2025 Charity Barrel
Prestigious sponsors support a noble cause: innovation for the disabled
The 165th Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction, an emblematic event in Burgundy winegrowing and charitable circles, is set to be an event of emotion, solidarity and innovation. This year, the famous "Pièce des Présidents" - sold in aid of humanitarian causes and research - will be a Pommard 1er cru Les Rugiens, a historic first in the history of the Hospices de Beaune.
An exceptional vintage for a universal cause
Isolated within the "Pommard 1er cru Dames de la Charité" cuvée, this unique piece symbolizes the excellence of Burgundian know-how. The barrel, a veritable work of art, was specially designed by La Manufacture Tonnelière La Grange. It is made from stavewood selected from the Bertranges forest. This exceptional care reflects the nobility of the cause: the funds raised will support EHCO - Enfance et Handicap en Côte-d'Or and the Institut Robert-Debré du Cerveau de l'Enfant, two organizations committed to inclusion and research into disability and neurodevelopment.
EHCO Association: innovation and dignity for people with disabilities
Active for over 85 years, EHCO is the result of the merger of Papillons Blancs de Beaune and Association Beaunoise de Protection de l'Enfance. Every day, 500 professionals support 800 children, adults and families affected by disability or precariousness. Through the Wine Sale, EHCO is promoting two flagship projects:
Giving voice and autonomy back to autistic people thanks to digital tools and artificial intelligence. The association is developing assisted communication interfaces, companion robots and personalized educational applications to enhance communication and expression for autistic people.
Relieve bodies in the vineyards, by launching a pilot project of passive and active exoskeletons for disabled workers in the Burgundy vineyards. A concrete way of combining tradition, modernity and inclusion, while preserving health and dignity in the workplace.
Institut Robert-Debré: understanding children's brains for better support
Created in response to major public health challenges, the Institut Robert-Debré du Cerveau de l'Enfant aims to revolutionize our understanding of children's brains.
Under the impetus of experts and supported by Nobel Prize winner Esther Duflo, it is setting up an unprecedented cohort of 4,000 children monitored for nine years from birth. Using tools such as MRI, EEG, eye-tracking and genetic analysis, researchers hope to detect developmental disorders (autism, ADHD, Dys disorders, etc.) at an earlier stage, and personalize their care.
Artificial intelligence, far from replacing doctors, will enhance their decisions by combining brain, biological and behavioral data. The aim is to identify problems earlier, act more effectively, and offer every child the chance of harmonious development.
A cast of inspiring sponsors: Alice Taglioni, Cédric Klapish, Martin Solveig
To support this important cause, several French-speaking personalities have agreed to join forces.
Alice Taglioni, actress and director committed to social and educational causes, Cédric Klapisch, humanist filmmaker and keen observer of human relations, and Martin Solveig, international DJ and producer. They will be present in Beaune to support the sale of the Pièce des Présidents and convey a message of hope: that of a more inclusive society, where technology and science are placed at the service of human beings.
A sale under the banner of excellence and generosity. On November 16, 2025, under Les Halles de Beaune, wine professionals, philanthropists and enlightened wine lovers will come together to make the heart of Burgundy beat faster. Beyond the prestige of the crus, this 165th edition illustrates more than ever the humanist vocation of the Hospices: to make wine a driving force for progress, inclusion and solidarity.
A major cause for the Hospices in 2025: technological innovation for the disabled
The proceeds from the 2025 Charity Coin auction will be donated to two associations working to help people with disabilities, with a particular focus on technological innovation.
The objective is clear: to support projects that combine high technology and social impact, in order to advance the inclusion and autonomy of disabled people. Artificial intelligence, for example, is one of the areas envisaged as a lever for innovation within this framework. The focus will be on concrete solutions such as mobility aids, adapted communication tools and intelligent care devices.
This choice of cause is also in line with the 20th anniversary of the French law on equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship for disabled people, passed in 2005. Hospices Civils de Beaune intends to highlight the importance of this legislative breakthrough, while reaffirming its commitment to a more inclusive society.
