164th Hospices auction: 439.5 barrels to be sold on November 17, 2024 (321 reds and 117 + 3 half barrels of whites)
In the context of a complex vintage from a meteorological point of view, as explained Ludivine Griveau to Jean-David Camus, the Hospices specialist for our house Albert Bichot, the Domaine des Hospices will put up for sale for the 164th auction 321 barrels of red wines and 117 + 3 feuillettes (half barrels) of white wines. That's a total of 439.5 barrels, for the November 17 auction.
This result makes the 164th wine sale a small harvest year, without however reaching the record reached during vintage 2021 and its terrible frost episode. For the record, in 2023, the Domaine had offered 753 pieces. The impact of this modest quantity on future auction prices is as yet and by nature difficult to estimate. We look forward to seeing on the evening of November 17 for the results of what promises to be an exciting sale.
