Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Didiers - Monopole - cuvée Fagon

Domaine des Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges

Albert Bichot’s view

This exceptional cuvée, produced from vines over 70 years old on average, displays a huge complexity on the bouquet (wild berries, some graphite) and the mouth alike.
Year after year this cuvée retains its concentration and fine substance. It requires a certain amount of patience from any winelover, who will be rewarded by a gorgeous wine with unique depth and harmony.

Vinification and aging

This Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Didiers « Monopole » – cuvée Fagon has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 2d Sunday in March following harvest, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important time, thanks to meticulous work and the custom blend of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.
