Gold Medal and Silver Medal: 2 great Hospices de Beaune wines aged by Albert Bichot in the spotlight!

Once again this year, we have presented a selection of great Hospices de Beaune wines aged in our Beaune cellars at prestigious international competitions. The medals and awards received recognize the quality of the work carried out by Albert Bichot in ageing and bottling these “great wines for a great cause”.

Gold Medal: Clos de la Roche Grand Cru cuvée Cyrot Chaudron 2023 - 97 points

International Wine Challenge 2025: a particularly tough competition. Albert Bichot in the spotlight with 7 gold medals.

"France: Still the benchmark of elegance" is how the competition talks about this 2025 edition. France’s key regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne individually won more gold and total medals than most countries. France won a total of 1,039 medals this year, including 94 golds and 402 silvers – cementing its place as the epicentre of fine wine, despite the ongoing challenge of extreme weather events, such as unseasonable frosts, heatwaves, and heavy rainfall, a shift in the growing season (earlier grape ripening), and increasing risks of crop losses from pests and diseases.

In Burgundy – a region synonymous with nuanced Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays – Maison Albert Bichot was the star this year. Our house was awarded no less that 7 gold medals.
