Buying wine at the Hospices de Beaune auction: simplicity, service, expertise

It all starts with a chat with Jean-David Camus, your personal guide. After taking note of your wishes, he will explain the key stages of your project, in particular how to choose the ideal target from among the 52 Hospices de Beaune wines sold at auction.

Our aim: to make buying a barrel at auction very simple. Our no-surprise final price includes everything from start to finish: hammer price, auctioneer's fees, barrel, aging and bottling costs. Everything is included except shipping outside France and of course we can assist you in that. By default, your Hospices wines are shipped in beautiful wooden cases, including one free label personalization with your name or your company's name (frrom half a barrel).

Your tailor-made auction plan specifies the maximum hammer price defined for your wine(s) at auction. No unpleasant surprises: if the set hammer price is exceeded, we don't buy and refund your full deposit. If we buy below the ceiling price during the auction (that's our goal!), we pass on the reduction, of course, according to our price list making the conversion between hammer price and final price after aging.

If you can, come to Beaune during the auction to experience an unforgettable moment with us. Between a great popular party in the streets of Beaune and private tastings of grand crus in our century-old cellars, you will intensely live the Hospices de Beaune Experience by Albert Bichot.

After the auction, we take care of everything! Your wine is aged in our cellars with the utmost care by our winemakers for 12 to 18 months, to bring it to its peak. Of course, you're welcome to join us during this period for an initiation into the art of aging, as we share our know-how with you. Take also advantage of our connections in the small world of Burgundy wines to experience a warm and unforgettable moment.

At any time, we can create for you or your company a private reception, combining moments of oenological discovery and relaxation according to your wishes.

About 18 months after the auction, your Hospices wines are delivered to your home. You can even get the empty barrel if you want (paying option) to remember this forever.. and the rest of the story is up to you.
