Deep red color. Attractive bouquet of red and black fruits, with cherry accents. This wine captures all the elegance of a great Savigny, with a majestic finish.
This cuvée is made up of two climats: Les Peuillets and Les Bas Marconnets. They are continuous with each other along the slope of the hillside: only a path separates them. These climats border the commune of Beaune. Thanks to the deep, very stony red clays, the wine expresses a full-bodied character that needs to be tamed and worked with fruit. A fine cuvée for a Savigny de garde that sometimes needs to wait.

Vinification and aging
This Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Cuvée Arthur Girard has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.
The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune has been certified organic since the 2024 harvest, and we naturally age your wine in our Albert Bichot cellars in line with this environmentally-friendly philosophy.
Arthur Girard bequeathed part of his estate to the Hôtel-Dieu in 1936. This included his properties in Savigny-lès-Beaune: Les Guettottes, Les Peuillots, Marconnets and Le Bas Marconnets, Les Lavières, Les Charnières or Chaurières, and Les Champs Charbon Fourches. The Cuvée is traditionally made from two Premiers Crus, Les Bas Marconnets and Les Peuillets, whose vineyards border the commune of Beaune.
