Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges - cuvée George Faiveley

Domaine des Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges

Albert Bichot’s view

This prestigious cru gave its name to the town of Nuits. It is above all a singular soil, rocky, stony, draining, composed of various Bathonian pebbles. The Georges Faiveley cuvée is made from vines that are 70-year old.
This top-level cuvée from the Hospices de Nuits estate displays the typicity of the greatest Bourgogne wines: a slightly closed nose, but concentrated and promising with dark fruits and black currants. The same level of density and complexity extends on the palate, with an extraordinary, powerful yet well-balanced body. A real gem!

Vinification and aging

This Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges – Cuvée Georges Faiveley has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential.
