Imagine…a superb cellar with solid stone walls in the heart of Beaune, bewitching aromas that awaken the senses…Behind a heavy, century-old door, all the Hospices casks purchased by Albert Bichot are perfectly aligned. Your barrel is there, waiting for you. Each buyer is welcomed as a friend during the ageing process to taste the wine(s) purchased at auction.
Jean-David Camus takes a pipette and delicately pours you a few centilitres of YOUR wine. You swirl it around in the glass, inhale its delicate aromas and finally put the nectar in your mouth. The 600-year history of the Hospices de Beaune is combined with the story of your vintage and your purchase. You share your impressions with friends and family, who have also come to share an exceptional moment at the heart of Albert Bichot’s expertise.

And because we’re in Burgundy, we know how to give a warm welcome! Before tasting your wine, we’ll introduce you to the history of our company and its passionate relationship with the Hospices. After the barrel tasting, we’ll be delighted to show you a selection of fine bottles, including some old vintages in bottle.

Wine tasting during the aging stage is strictly reserved for customers who have purchased a full barrel. Tastings are by reservation only, and are not possible during the annual closing periods (end of December and beginning of August).
