Pommard Cuvée Raymond Cyrot
Côte de Beaune|
|Grapes: Pinot Noir|
Shining red robe. Intense nose of black berries with hints of mild spices. A rather fresh and structured mouth follows, with a fine density. Beautiful potential.
Quiche lorraine, rack of lamb with herb breadcrust, eggplant gratin, strong cow cheese.
Monsieur and Madame Cyrot-Chaudron left their vineyards to the Hospices de Beaune in 1979. The gift included several plots of ancient vines, which were in perfect condition, yielding small quantities of fine fruit, and many of these have been retained. The Premiers Crus vines are situated in Les Charmots, Bertins and Rugiens bas.
