Vintage 2024 – organic conversion and extra-ordinary

“This final year of organic conversion has been a real challenge for a 60-hectare estate and represents the culmination of several years’ work, which began in 2017.

The 2024 vintage, which was marked by heavy rainfall – +87% compared with a normal year – meant that our decision-making was constantly in turmoil. But our organization enabled us to be highly efficient and to optimally protect our 60-hectare vineyard. This is thanks to the constant mobilization and involvement of our teams.

Harvesting at the domaine began with the Pouilly-Fuissé plots on September 11, followed by the Côte d’Or pinot noir on September 13, and is currently continuing with the chardonnay, ending on September 22 with the Corton and Echézeaux grands crus.
To date, the Hospices de Beaune estate is expecting a small harvest, largely due to cold temperatures in May, late flowering of pinot noir and mildew.

The Pinot Noir grapes in vats show proven aromatic maturity, very good, encouraging aromas and lovely aromatic freshness. Lacey tannins and aromatic freshness!
As for the Chardonnay, the grapes are not very golden but have interesting aromatic flavors.
