Albert Bichot is an independent, family owned wine house, founded in Beaune in 1831, and handed down from father to son for 6 generations. Albéric Bichot is its president and managing director, always seeking to lead the company toward to new and ever greater challenges. One of the most respected wine houses in Beaune, Albert Bichot possesses 100 hectares of vines over 4 exceptional domaines among the most prestigious Burgundy crus, located mainly in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune.

Why is Albert Bichot the top buyer at the Hospices? Above all because the company’s customers recognise our expertise in the craft of « raising » these exceptional “cuvées”. In 2010 Albert Bichot bought a total of 91 “pièces” and 29 different “cuvées” from the 45 on sale. We are proud of the trust our customers place in us. Albert Bichot has a unique relationship with the Hospices and generously supports this institution, symbolic of the worthy causes that are close to the company’s heart. The charitable aspect of the Hospice sale is therefore important to us, as too is the worldwide recognition that this great wine sale gives Burgundy every year. It is in this spirit that, over this great festive weekend we welcome more than 200 friends from around the world to share in this incredible experience.

Sharing “the Burgundy spirit” with genuine passion
It’s not all about business. We genuinely enjoy sharing our wines, the savoir-faire of the men who create them, and our Burgundy art de vivre (way of life). Combining innovation with tradition is very much in the Burgundy spirit. For this reason, we decided to create this website and make the Hospices wine sale accessible to the general public in 2009 whether people are interested in buying the minimum of 6 bottles or an entire pièce of one of the selected cuvées. In 2011, we are taking this approach further by offering events at which the general public can get to know the Hospices and wines of Burgundy more intimately.

The wine sale is coordinated by Jean-David CAMUS. A great lover of fine wine and gastronomy, Jean-David has been marketing director at the Maison Albert Bichot for four years, on a time-share basis as part of the MONOGRAMME marketing consultancy service that he created in 2006. Jean-David is your dedicated single point of contact contact who will answer any and all queries you may have.
