HOW TO PURCHASE A FULL PIECE (BARREL) AT THE HOSPICES DE BEAUNE 2011
Select your “cuvée(s)” from the 45 available for purchase. For example, the choice between a Beaune 1er Cru Cuvée Cyrot Chaudron or a Volnay Cuvée Blondeau is a matter of personal taste, budget and requirements.. We provide expert advice to ensure you make the right purchase for you.
Fix a bid ceiling for your “pièce”. Once again, we are here to advise you and share our understanding of the market and the sales conditions (order of auction for example).
Confirm your bid order with an order form and a deposit before the sale. The order form gives Albert Bichot your official authorisation to bid on your behalf at the sale. Your bid ceiling is fixed and cannot be exceeded. There will be no nasty surprises!
Follow the sale live on the hospices-beaune.com website or come to Beaune for the weekend of 19/20 November. We can even try to obtain admission for you into the hall where the auction will take place (by appointment, number of place is VERY restricted).
In December 2011, the maturing (”élevage”) of your “pièce” starts in our cellars. It will take 12 to 16 months and Albert Bichot’s savoir-faire to bring the wines to their very best.
During the maturing period, come to Beaune to meet the men behind the craft and enjoy a fascinating visit full of discussion and discovery. We can offer you a certain number of complementary options (tastings of our wines, visit to our domaines) and can recommend great hotels and restaurants that will make your stay memorable.
Personalise the label with your name or that of your company. Other options available: (printing on the wooden case, bottling in magnums). We will do our utmost to comply with your requests.
We deliver your wines to your home in Spring 2013. All you have to do now is enjoy them or give them a few more years’ «polishing off» in your cellar.
Send us a message via the registration form and Jean-David Camus will be in touch with you very shortly.
